Members enjoyed a gathering of enthusiastic Aston Martin owners at Australia's largest state of Western Australia.

Australian Nationals AMOC 2018

The Australian Nationals were held last month, with several members daring to drive their Astons the 4000 klms to Perth. I am pleased to say that all made it to Perth safe and sound with no real dramas along the way. I would like to thank Jim, Angela and the organising committee for making us all feel very welcome.

AMOC NSW members achieved several successes in the Concours, Speed Event/Motorkhana and Observation Run:

  • Greg Gibbons – 1st in Class and Outright Winner of the Concours with his beautiful red AM V8;
  • Ken Martin – 1st in Class with his lovely blue DB7 Vantage
  • Paul Sampson – 3rd in Class with his stunning green Vanquish
  • Ken Martin – winning both track events in his class
  • Greg Gibbons and helpers – 2nd  in the Observation run

Gary Ungless & Mark Donaghue representing the UK attended the Nationals. Mark lead the Concours judging and Garry prepared a report that can be found on the AMOC UK forum at

Whilst at the Nationals, State Area Reps attended the AGM for AMOC Australia, with AMOC Chairman, Anne Reed participating via video link. Keith Degenhardt stood down as AMOC Australia Rep and Bill Griffiths was elected as his successor. An outcome of the AGM - Victoria has joined NSW effort to Assist the UK to resolve the Local v Worldwide membership issue.
